How old does my door have to be before parts get hard to find?
A lot of it comes down to when the house was built. Since most homes in this area went up between 1964 and 2007, with plenty from the 1980s and 90s, you'll often have hardware that's been out of production a while. We can usually source a compatible spring or roller even on an older door, it's openers from that era where parts get harder to match.
Do you come out to Ball Ground or Jasper?
Yes, both are in our service area, Ball Ground is about 10 miles out and Jasper about 16. We also reach Holly Springs, Waleska, Nelson, Mountain Park, Emerson, and Fairmount. If you're outside that stretch, call and ask; distance affects scheduling, not whether we'll take the job.
Is it cheaper to fix my door or replace it?
Depends on what's wrong. A snapped spring or a bent roller is almost always a repair. A door with rusted-through panels or a frame that's racked from age is often not worth saving, and we'll tell you that on the spot rather than charge you for a repair that won't hold.
What should I tell you when I call about a broken door?
The house's approximate age, what the door is doing (stuck, off track, opener running but door not moving), and whether you heard or saw anything happen, a loud bang usually means a spring. That's enough for us to bring the right part on the first trip most of the time.
