Most of what we see comes from houses built between 1964 and 2007, with a good chunk from the 1980s and 90s, so we carry the torsion springs, extension cables, and opener boards that fit that era's hardware. If your door is older or newer than that range, tell us the make when you call so we don't show up guessing.
We don't do glass storefront doors or commercial rolling steel, if that's what you've got, say so up front and we'll point you elsewhere rather than waste your morning. Winters here sit in the cold-moderate band, which matters for garage doors more than people expect: cold snaps make old torsion springs snap rather than sag, so a lot of our winter calls are for a spring that's been fine for years and picks a random Tuesday to go. Do you come out the same day?
Depends on where you are and what's broken. A snapped spring or a door stuck shut usually gets priority. If you're one of the farther towns, Jasper, Emerson, Fairmount, same-day is less certain, so call and ask directly rather than assuming.
Can I just drop by 850 Univeter Rd?
You can, but call first. It's our base, not a walk-in storefront with regular counter hours, so calling ahead means someone's actually there to talk through your door.
What information do you need on the phone?
Your address, whether the door is stuck open or shut, and roughly what's wrong, spring, opener, or track. If you know the door's age or brand, that helps us bring the right part the first trip.
Do you work on commercial doors?
No. We work on residential sectional garage doors, springs, openers, tracks, panels. If you've got a commercial rolling steel or storefront door, we'll tell you that on the phone so you're not waiting on us.
